When my fiance cheated on me

I was in the army and playing in the Army band. My fiance and I had been going together since the 11th grade. My family liked her and she liked them. We were planning to get married as soon as I got discharged.

She had an emergency appendectomy and was in the same hospital my grandfather was in for something.

One day, my aunt was visiting my grandfather and decided to stop in to see how my fiance was doing. When she walked into the room, my fiance was in bed, holding hands and kissing some guy who wasn't me.

When word got back to me, I got a weekend pass and drove to see her. She told me she had fallen in love with someone else and gave the ring back to me. I was so crazy in love with her that it was like cutting my heart out with a knife.
